Retrieving a Customer by Their VIN Number
This article describes how to locate a customer in your database by their vehicle’s VIN number. This assumes the customer and vehicle are already entered in StockTrac®.
From the main StockTrac® menu, go into the Point-of-Sale module.
Click the New Ticket button.
The Customer Lookup screen will display. Click Cancel to exit the screen.
Click the search icon next to the VIN field on the Vehicle Information box.
Begin typing the VIN number. The system will fill in the VIN closest to what you have typed in. When you find the desired vehicle, highlight it, and click OK.
The customer and vehicle information will then display on the screen. Continue with the ticket as usual.
